Winter (November to March):
During winter in Azerbaijan, especially in mountain and ski resort areas, the weather can be very cold and windy. We recommend wearing warm layered clothing, including thermal innerwear, sweaters, and a thick winter jacket. It is important to bring gloves, a scarf, a hat or beanie, and warm socks to stay comfortable outdoors. Closed shoes or winter boots with good grip are highly recommended, as some areas may be snowy or slippery. If you are visiting ski resorts, waterproof jackets, trousers, and snow-friendly shoes are useful. The winter air can also be dry, so carrying lip balm and moisturizer is helpful.

Summer (April to October):
In summer, the weather in Azerbaijan is generally warm to hot, particularly in Baku and lowland regions. Light and breathable clothing is recommended, along with comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to protect from the sun. Evenings in Baku can sometimes be cool and windy, so carrying a light jacket or shawl is advisable. When visiting mosques or religious sites, modest clothing is required—shoulders and knees must be covered, and sleeveless outfits and shorts are not allowed.

In general, cable car rides in Azerbaijan’s ski resorts are suitable for children and senior citizens. However, they are not recommended for pregnant women due to safety considerations and potential health risks related to altitude and movement.

If you are pregnant or have a medical condition, we strongly recommend consulting your doctor before joining the activity.
